I think last night's goal was at least a "joint effort" (as does the Echo), and if you look at his performance throughout all 7 games, Spills has done a great job so far.

Neil Potter is now at Brockenhurst.
Dont know what games you,ve been watching Doug but thats not the 1st game that Spills has made a mistake in. You may have not been quite so forgiving had it finished 1-1 on Wednesday night!!
We have a quality keeper waiting to come in, give Harvell his chance!!

Spillsie is a good keeper, and will make mistakes which may cost you. But to want him replaced is not fair. he been a good servant and keeper he's entitled to make mistakes.
Anyway Jason Harvel has rejoined Poppies.
I watched the reserves today and saw Lee Mitchener save 2 penalty's and made some terrific saves to keep all 3 points.
He is a good second choice for spillsie,

I watched the reserves today, a win 1-0, but not the most fluent of performances, thanks to two superb penalty saves from lee mitchener (yes two!!) they remain unbeaten with a 100% record. It was a very untidy game with a virtual non exsistant centre midfield causing the two hard working strikers to be starved of any sevice. The last 10 mins was very lively with the ref making some very strange decisions that really spoilt the game. Still if you pick up 3 points when not playing well, must be gratful. The youngsters must learn how to kill off the opposistion when they go down to 10 men, today the opposistion came on strong when reduced to 10, and despite the refs efforts we just held on, well done.

Just been reading that Jason Harvell made his debut for Bournemouth Poppies yesterday and was man of the match with a great performance as they beat Ham Utd 1-0. Saved a pen from Karim and made several great saves.

Stop panicking you have 2 better keeper's than Neil Potter, Lee Mitchener(18) and Ryan Park(16), we have cover in these two.
Spillsie a good keeper, he will make mistakes, but he played whilst injured against Moneyfields others would have cried off. Give him support
Lee Mitchener has already been offered 1st football team with another club but he's a Poole lad. Didn't see Potter stay.

dont really think its fair to compare neil potter to the two lads we have at the moment, he played about 20 games for poole last year and was very good in my opinion. i was told the other day that he wasnt getting too many starts for brock, maybe its worth a go to get him back over here?? what does everyone else think?
as for harvell, i think we shouldnt have let him leave that easily without giving him a chance in the 1st team...

Thanks for those who have given their support to me. For those who haven't, well we are all entitled to our own opinions and I can understand people's frustration/critisism as people want the club to do well. As a keeper I play on confidence as I am sure many do. I am the type of keeper that will make mistakes at times due to the positions I put myself in. i.e. I won't just stand on my line, I will play a sweeper type role, I will always come for crosses (not always at the right time!!) I will always show for people to get the ball and help people out, putting myself in the s**t at times. That for my sins puts me in the firing line. Playing this way opens me up to make mistakes however, I'd rather play that way as I enjoy it more. Obviously I don't enjoy the mistakes but they happen. I apprecaite the honesty good or bad that people have written and will endevour to turn people's opinions into a postive as I really want PT to do well and go up as do the whole team. As for other goalkeepers, I have confidence in my own ability and agree with Tommy's selections!!

I don't think anyone has mentioned what a good game Spills had against Moneyfields. He made a couple of oustanding saves towards the end of the second half and generally played well for the whole game.

Just been catching up with what's been put on the site and I just wanted to say top man Paul Spillane for coming onto the web site and putting his point of veiw across. I've often wondered if the players realise how much this club means to us and the fact that home or away they always have support. I hope that more of the players follow Spills' example, well done spills.
