I have just read on another website that ptfc have not entered the FA Vase next season. Anyone care to explain?

A bit of a long story that I'll try and summarise.
For the Vase we need separate facilities for the officials. If you went to the home games against Christchurch and Willand in 2002 & 2003 respectively, you may remember there being a temporary mobile dressing room by the toilets. It costs the club some £00s to lease and insure these (the minimum lease is for a month). Last year they were vandalised, so insuring them this year would cost even more.
With other additional costs for each Vase tie, it simply isn't economic for us to enter the Vase at the moment, until we have the necessary facilities permanently in place.
I know this wasn't a decision the board took lightly, but my understanding is that Paul and Dean were consulted, and they agreed that this wasn't a good use of limited club funds.
Hope this helps.
