Exactly! And if we could stop conceding soft goals, from corners and in the dying seconds of games, we’d be in a rather stronger position. I’m beginning to wonder if our boys are quite fit enough. |

Squad certainly could do with a few more, but the issue is that as soon as we have numbers, fringe players leave due to lack of game time. Then we lack depth again…

We need a stronger mental strength to see out games. After we equalized on Saturday, it was great we went for the win. But as so often last season, once again we are starting to let in very late goals. Against Hendon luckily it didn't matter in the end. But against Bracknell it turned 3 points into 1. On on Saturday 1 into none.
Solve this problem & we are definitely going to make the playoffs. Or if either of our next two opponents slip up the title itself. However think the top spot is already a 2 team race between WSM & Truro. If we do make the playoffs, hopefully it will be the 1st time we actually go onto win it.

Play offs.!! how many seasons ago was it that we were demoted from the NLS(All those games in hand and we couldn't avoid the drop) Straight back up was the watchword! Didn't happen as once again our penchant to fluff the big one-off games came to the fore. We had lots of clashing cymbals and loud trumpets from the BOD during the past close season So the question is: Is all that tumult and shouting giving us a team with winning ways? Will we ever again challenge for the "Pride of Dorset" acclamation? ...and its all gone very quiet on the "New Stadium" forecasts.Some of us may never see the promised land at this rate! ..and down at Melcombe Regis they pull in 3000 for a FA Cup tie(what is that? asks a young PTFC supporter?  ) Did any of those November 5th fireworks wake anybody up in the Dolphins Boardroom? UP THE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!! |

Why is it that we have developed an inbread fear of the last five minutes of close game? Irrespective of when we are winning or drawing, the team and management seem to go into panic mode and try to establish an ultra defensive set up. Do they have no belief in our ability to see out a game? The opposition sense this and are encouraged to throw everything at us. The best form of defence is attack, even when you are already winning. The opposition is not likely to score if they're penned in their own half.

But i did see PTFC old boys getting a write up for Wimborne
Baker,Bedford and co,
The good news, Bracknell lost at home
