Recently Andy Rossiter said only a couple of players can be assured of a place in the squad next season. Hope this is true.
Also what was the point of holding a supporter vote for player of the season, if supporters were barred, from attending the awards ceremony?

Just read the article regarding new players, be totally honest it did not inspire me in any way, TK goes on about we need to be better in virtually every department, and it was a bit like we'll we will see where that get us!!!. And on the subject of new playing staff he sounded quite adamant that all we need is maybe another 3 players, again after last seasons (let's be honest) a very poor season we shall probably be up against it again, and the season has not even began. Sorry to be pessimistic but surely wholesale changes are needed both on and off the pitch, I know there are a number of forum members whom will give other forum members a bollocking but it's come to the stage in my humble opinion that changes are needed in all quarters at the club.

HH. Yes there is a discrepancy with what one director said about wholesale changes needed and only about five players making the cut and what JT reports as only two or three signings are needed! The fact that, through the magic of digital media we see what other clubs are doing ,does put the pressure on the BOD and management. we hope!! Reading the digital news it seems as if the Ancient Borough is badly in need of a confidence boost, dwindling numbers visiting the Old Town etc. PTFC?? Yes we badly need a successful season and one of the greatest incentives that we the Fans and the players could possibly have would be some POSITIVE news about our much talked about but ever-so-distant NEW STADIUM. Another 30 odd months of Omerta is not something anyone connected with PTFC should have to look forward to!

Cheers Jack, interesting that Tom acknowledges his own possible deficiencies. Tactically I've thought we could have experimented a bit, especially towards the end of the season with next season in mind. Also it made me chuckle that we "might need to work on discipline" as I find we're so poorly disciplined towards officials it's unreal, and that stems from directly from the manager.

I think that we should be looking at bringing 3/4 top rank quality footballers to the club rather than the other option of bringing in many more, most of who would probably have left by the end of the season or only have made it as far as sitting on the bench.

I don't know which Echo this article is published as I take the Echo every day and there is no mention of any Poole Town news in the Echo published in my Echo for the 18th or the 19th of May regarding this article!
Why is this!

My only thoughts are Keep The Town in Poole!! noting the comment section in the Echo on this subject Not me!! there is still sentiment FOR The Sxxxxxm!! This GREAT REVEAL isn't though is it? We still do not know where we are going or when we are going there (aside from the fact that it will FOUR long years down the road) Should our new "home" be any where near our "spiritual" home i shall ask Rob Bayston to push me round the perimeter of the field in a wheelchair! I will only be 82yrs young when it all comes about!! I type in the name of the local newspaper but something eliminates it///11

Does anyone else feel slightly underwhelmed? We’ve been told for months/years that things were in progress but that nothing could be revealed. Today we find out that in fact all that’s happened is that we’ve ‘identified’ a site and not even put in for planning permission yet. I’m not sure why that warranted all the secrecy to be honest.
So please can I politely ask, had we previously been working on a different plan that didn’t come together and therefore this is a new site that’s been identified or has this unknown location been prime target all this time?

My only thoughts are Keep The Town in Poole!! already quite a few upticks for "British Beef" comments on the story in the Echo, Why? Because they make sense! We have been around this particular mulberry bush many times before does anyone on this forum honestly believe that The Stadium can continue to exist in its present format as a deteriorating one sport venue? Spock would say "That is illogical" So can we please go into season 2022/2023 with supporters actually being "in" on our Club's future, The club is bringing in some good talent, let us boost the optimism with solid news of a sensible solution to our long running search for a permanent home. UP THE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN(since circa 1954!)
